Oggi vi parlo del terzo libro della serie Twist of Fate di Sloane Kennedy e Lucy Lennox, Body and Soul ^_^

La trama:

Finalmente il libro di Jake!
Abbiamo intravisto Jake nei libri precedenti ma sempre circondato da questo alone di mistero che ovviamente mi ha incuriosito come una scimmia ^_^
Qui i protagonisti sono lui e Oz e proprio da quest'ultimo voglio iniziare.
Non me ne vogliamo le autrici ma a me a volte Oz ha ricordato Derek Zoolander ^__^
Mi spiego meglio: il nome d'arte di Oz è Laird ed è un super modello che ha deciso di rifugiarsi tra le montagne del Colorado per dedicarsi al suo vero sogno, cioè diventare uno stilista e presentare la sua collezione alla New York Fashion Week.
A dispetto del suo aspetto però è un ragazzo molto determinato, altrimenti non sarebbe arrivato così in alto nel mondo della moda no? eppure si nasconde dietro il suo bel visino e si lamenta di continuo di come tutti lo trattino solo in base alla sua bellezza ( perchè lui è bello bello in modo assurdo -----> questo l'ho aggiunto io ^_^); in realtà ha proprio un bel caratterino e più di una volta nel corso della storia farà dei veri e proprio cazziatoni a Jake!
E veniamo dunque a Jake: vive una vita di assoluta solitudine e a parte Xander non ha nessuno che può definire "amico"; si intuisce che qualcosa nel suo passato lo ha portato a cambiare radicalmente vita e mettere soprattutto da parte le sue conoscenze mediche.
Immaginate ora il mondo di Jake come viene trasformato quando al cottage accanto al suo arriva Oz, vestito in modo assolutamente inadeguato al freddo clima del Colorado, con Ugg e strass ma soprattutto con al seguito Boo, un'adorabile cagnolina di razza Chinese Crested ^____^ che Jake ribattezza da subito Princess Cujo ( sono morta dal ridere!)
Tra i due uomini non scorre buon sangue, eppure Jake deve correre continuamente in soccorso di Oz perchè quest'ultimo non è abituato a vivere in montagna: tra stufe che si bloccano e rischi di congelamento di vario tipo, alla fine i due iniziano a conoscersi e Jake si lascia catturare sempre più dal fascino androgino di Oz.
Rispetto al secondo libro, Safe and Sound, qui i toni sono più leggeri e da commedia romantica, nonostante i mille tormenti di Jake che culminano con un divertentissimo pranzo del ringraziamento in cui l'uomo finalmente ammette i suoi sentimenti per Oz ^_^
Ovviamente però il passato di Jake resta ancora da scoprire e soprattutto bisogna vedere se due persone che vengono da mondi così opposti riusciranno a trovare il modo di stare insieme....spoiler: ovviamente si, ma non vi dico certo come ^_^
